The new herb garden includes sage, Stevia, thyme, chives( Getting ready to bloom!, Lavender, Dill(Seeded) Caraway(seeded) Basil, Oregano, Parsley,Agrulla, and Cilantro
From what I see in the intro, it looks as if you fertilize the bails , and help the composition by adding fertilizer. You the water down the bails, add a top soil topping and plant. The plants retain moisture, and bails begin deteration. it is all natural after that. It says no bugs. All organtic. I am amazed by how little work it actually is. In the fall it can be cleaned by reusing as compost. recycleable as well. I have told a couple people about this and I a considering moving strawberries to this type of growth. They are usually very high maintenance. with this set up they could be retied (The Bails) and maintain structure for a year or two...i will have to try it to know!
I will post pictures of the new herb garden I finished today...But not tonight!!! Happy gardening!
The winter had brought down the middle line for the grapes so a little repair, new wire, and tightening, I hope they do well this year! Next nice day, Fertilizing and raking the strawberries... Before we know it the plowing will need done!
My Mom and Dad planted these trees in 1976. They are dwindling a limb at a time though. The one that was always forgotten about is about 12 years old. It is really going to produce this year, First time it was trimmed in many years because it was young. It took almost all night to trim Tomorrow or Saturday I will spray them. There are 2 Prune, One wild apple which is apsolutely fantastic (Yellow apples)pulled out of the woods when I was about 7, The young one is MacIntosh, and there are 4 Sour Cherry trees, Up here at the house we have 3 left Sour cherry, Granny Smith apple, and Macintosh apple. I hope to add more this year. The grapes are next in line, They are not as good as the rest, very small. only 2 years old. I will say it was a wonderful afternoon with my Mom, and Daughter. We got it all done. Next is my son driving the tractor and me on the wagon spraying. It is the key to protect the blossoms. I hope there is no frost this year. We got zero fruit last year.
Looks like you have a good start. We have tomatoes, peppers-- hot and mild, leeks, and onions started here. I want to get broccoli started before our vacation but we'll see if that happens.

I have not tried this but it makes
good sense! No weeding and limited space, It would be a great alternative for some people! I would like to try it just to see how well it works!

If only I had fruit trees to spray. *sigh* With all of the apples eaten around here I think we could use an orchard.
Well, in that department we happen to just be lucky,

It is 86 here
and I've already cranked the AC in the Liberty van.
I hate hot. At least with cold you can add clothing, with hot, you can only take so much off. :)
This site seems to be very helpful!
I think it was a thread from last year, Just wanted it to be accessable.
