Sehr Gut! German libertarian party to form coalition government with Merkel's Christian Democrats

Chancellor Angela Merkel will keep her post, even as her conservative Christian Democrats fail to achieve a majority in German elections. The European press is describing the necessary power sharing arrangement as "pro-business" and "tax-cutting". The libertarian Free Democrats and the conservative Christian Democrats both oppose increasing the minimum wage and support reducing taxes, but notably and publicly disagree over the (perpetual) War on Terra. Free Democrats have also criticized Christian Democrat support for protectionism.

This portends well for Germany, Europe, and indeed, the world. Of course, Merkel could well queer the deal if she overplays her hand. She has already indicated that she won't be letting "her new junior partner dictate policy."

Could America soon follow our Teutonic cousins along the road to liberty?

Ja wir koenen!
