![]() Texas man's Taser death ruled homicide To my knowledge that is one of the first (if not the first) time that a taser death at the hands of a police officer has been ruled a homicide. Usually they blame the victims internal chemistry for their inability to cope with 10's of thousands of volts entering their bodies. So, if the officer ends up being charged and convicted this could be a big blow to the people at taser and a jab back at the oppressive police state. |

Stun guns are a non-lethal alternative to guns, and more law enforcement officials carry a Taser, as the devices are called because of the popularity of a single brand of them, than ever before. A growing number of individuals, however, are passing away when police use them. Resource for this article: Public outrage has not stemmed Taser related deaths
Non Lethal my ass
That kind of double speak is part of the trouble, non-lethal means will not kill. People die from their use, it is a lethal weapon, like a baseball bat, screwdriver, gun or sword.
Just my two cents, because the stiff shirts call them non-lethal does not mean you should or that they are.
That's true. The man demonstrating them at the local gun show showed how lethal they can be.
Scary stuff.
Nice Precedent...
I think I'll FB that one.
Well tickle me pink
