First day of school

So it was my first day of my last semester at my current school, and I think I'm in for a rough time.
First off, and on the lighter side, i'm taking Intro to Womens Studies (I know, I know, insert joke here... but I have to take a diversity class) and I am the only male student in the class. That is a good thing and a bad thing, as for sure all eyes were on me at one point or another during the period. Of course the teacher looks at me when she states that this will not be a men bashing class, much to my relief.
Next two classes are my political science classes (my major, and my strong suit), International Relations and Comparative Politics, both are taught by the same teacher. I knew the professor is an Obama fan before coming into the class, he is the leader of the Student Democrat Club. But if he brought up his name anymore in that class or if I saw another sign of sheepish looking students standing next to Obama campaign signs, I was going to puke... then stand up and give them all a lesson. To further my pain, during the introduction to both classes, the professor mentions our 'post 9/11 world' and how terrorist flew planes into the WTC, I could only roll my eyes and wait my time to introduce the truth to the class (slowly of course, I have learned a lot about the delivery and how to be more effective in conveying the message).
My fourth class of the day is Macroeconomics. I'm thinking going into this class that I would learn about the terminology of things that I don't know about and be able to have a discussion based on facts. Not a chance. This was an opinion based lecture (for the introduction/syllabus) where the professor, a Doctor in economics, tells the class that the government needs to spend in times of recession to bring it out (Keyensian) and how anyone who says otherwise is simply not intelligent enough. The hair raised on my neck at this point. He goes on to tell the class that those who want to have less government are not intelligent. I cringed. Then he says that the Federal Reserve was in the Constitution! I nearly fell out of my chair. In discussing the the recession, I spoke up one time and asked, rhetorically, if it was the government that got us in the finacial mess we were in, and he proceeds to tell me in front of the class that I don't know enough about the subject to make that kind of statement. Now, I have to add here, that the professor is of Middle eastern ancestry, and english is obviously not his first language, and that I didn't want to get in an argument that he would lose in front of the entire class or have it get lost in a language barrier... so I spoke with him after class. I asked him why banks needed to be bailed out (with taxpayer money), as he stated during the lecture. He tells me that the banks need to have the money because if they crash then it would create widespread panic... (I just realized that I dont want to detail the entire conversation, since it would be too long, let it suffice to say that I schooled this Doctor of Economics, and all he could do was tell me that I was not knowledgable enough to hold this type of discussion yet). Lastly though, I pulled my Constitution out from my back pocket (where it always is, and signed by Ron Paul) and asked him about the Federal Reserve being in the Constitution. I pointed to where Congress is supposed to regulate money, he then fumbles his words stating that 'Oh yeah, the Federal Reserve was created in 1903 somehow or another' I informed him on the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and cleared up the air on that... Guys it's going to be a rough semester.
To top it all off, I pass my old History teacher, who was also a rabid Obama supporter during the General Elections which was the time that I was in his class... and he asks me if they ever found Obama's birth certificate! LOL We were discussing this way before it was ever in the news, and he thought I was absurd for even mentioning it, though I'm sure he still thinks this, at least it goes to show to him that I am well ahead of the state controlled media.

Now lets just hope the elites hold off on this Swine flu hoax long enough for me to get through the entire semester...

Well at least the students will be knowledgeable!

I am glad you are there to enlighten the students. Seems that Old Professor's(and teacher's)are stuck in there ways. You will challenge them enough to change how and, why they teach!
Great Job!
(Though it seems you will have a very rough Semester)

Wow. This should be quite the semester. If that is representative of today's college education, no wonder we are in such bad shape.

I absolutely could not control myself!

I cannot even imagine being in a class like that.

I remember high school classes I took (Modern Society) when it was just trying to gain a foothold, and I was the most obnoxcious student you would ever want to encounter. I asked that stupid teacher, are you going throw me out of here literally, or physically. I just could not take the communist spew he was teaching.

He threw me out of his class, and I just roamed the hallways, till the next class. Jerkface!

A couple of years later I heard of students hanging him out the windows by his ankles. He deserved it, Communist Pig!

kudos to you dude.

i took one womens studies class in university too and it was AWESOME. in fact, it was one of the best classes i ever took. there wasn't any male bashing. :)

i started taking a poly sci class but i dropped it 'cause i found it annoying. i was totally supportive of globalism and thought people who weren't were retarded. my, my ... how far i've come! lol.

kudos to you for trying economics. i have a friend who majored in that. i thought it was retarded. lol. evidently ... i think a lot of things are retarded. :)

it sure would be interesting doing university now with a new perspective. i don't know if i could do it. i'm not very patient and i go out of my way to avoid people that don't ~get it~.

i feel your pain. kudos to you.
