I have been testing this out for a while and I think it's totally wild and cool. Let me know what you think of it and I can help Khomar with the technical stuff if he wants to use it on this site. Unlimited rooms can be created with lots of great options.

Yep. That would be the one. I wanted some sort of a logo... and I definitely wanted to change the icon that shows up in the URL window from that droopy Drupal icon (the one on Liberty Love... that is the default).

Can you change something that Devon never bothered to do and is apparently off by default in Drupal. Can you force links to open in a new tab please.

if so it doesn't appear to be working/is not retroactive.
I clicked some links to see if they would pop a new tab and they just opened in this window, so you might wanna check on that unless it is set up to parse URL's and automatically insert a target="_blank" type command.

Try refreshing your browser. The change may be implemented in JavaScript, so the old versions may be cached in your browser. It is working just fine for me. (Which browser do you have?)
oh that would be why, I use no-script for firefox lemme test it now that I've turned it off for this site

If you right click the link you can choose open in a new window. It is a simple fix if there isn't another for now. I hope this helps.

New Functionality
I have installed a new tool to allow us to track certain threads and receive e-mail notifications for updates as well as receive updates for posts that we make. By default, this functionality is turned off, but you can enable it if you like.
Let me know if you have any questions or issues with this new feature.

hey Khomar is there a way to mark the entire forums read at once? I would really like to be able to set everything as read from here on out or whenever we get done moving threads so that I can see what's actually new in the future.
I will have to research this. I don't know of a way to do this right now, but I'm sure I can figure out something.
[Edit] In the meantime, I did find a "New forum topics" link which will post the most recently added forum topics.

Forum Organization
I created a couple containers and new forum topics, but I am looking for some feedback. What other sub-categories would you like to see? Would you like to see other groupings? I should be in all week, so I should be able to be more responsive than I was this weekend! ;-)
Also, I would like to put out another request for more links to add to "Best of the Web". I am going to be adding a number of links as I can this week, but I would love to have feedback from all of you. What websites do you like to frequent to get information? What are your favorite news sites? What are your favorite gardening/survival sites?
(edit) One more quick item: I am adding a mention to the posting guidelines that we need to pay attention to: please do not copy entire articles for copyright purposes. Quote a couple key paragraphs and the link to the original material or write your own article in your own words based on the material. As we pull data over, we need to make sure to do this.

What exactly do you have in mind for "Earth Friendly/Green"? I am thinking that it would fall under "Living Off the Grid"... or I could expand that category to include it.
As for Ramtha, I am thinking that would probably fall under the Philosophy and Religion thread. I may expand some of these into "containers" which groups some of the forum topics into groups. I need to kind of rifle through all of the threads and see what organization would make sense.
I did add a health section, and when I get a chance, I will add it to the main page (with a graphic) along with a politics section.

would it be possible to lengthen the recent comments box? I'll be honest I do not like the Drupal setup so I pretty much browse by comments. I rarely click through the forums tab to sub forums so if someone comments in a thread somewhere that isn't in the recent list I never see the thread. Could it be extended out to 20 possibly?

I just changed the front page to have prominent links. Some of these may not stay on the front page, and I would like to add new links as good info becomes available. If there are any pages that you would like to see promoted, please let me know. The idea here is to put the most popular and informative posts on the front page so visitors can dive right into good information.
