![]() Dr. Karriem Ali spoke Friday evening, May 29th in Yelm. He began by emphasizing that our immune system is the key. He spoke briefly about the 1918 Flue Pandemic and then showed some of the documentary that is available on YouTube (SEE LINK BELOW) Approximately 20,000,000 people died during the 1918 epidemic. This is more than the total casualties from World War 1. More than 500,000 people died in the U.S.A. alone. It is important that we have a sovereign mind. When you hear/look at information, you need to decide what you want to accept and believe or what you’ll get involved with - what’s your truth. How much of the information being publicized is scientific fact, how much is a widely accepted belief and how much is strictly political. Dr. Ali then spoke about the drug Tamiflu which is being touted as a ‘cure’ and being stockpiled by various states. continue at... Who's Karriem? Karriem Ali was born in Detroit, Michigan and attended The Roeper School, a highly-selective school for the gifted for his 12 years of primary and secondary school education. Both of his parents were both teachers, creating a home environment where questing for the uncommon and challenging the common were the norm. Upon graduation at the top of his class, Karriem matriculated at Harvard University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Organic) prior to earning an M.D. degree with Distinguished Honors in Research from Stanford University. Yet for Karriem, the experience and meaning of being gifted has never been defined solely by scholarly pursuits. His wardrobe of talents extend to tropical and sacred dance; jazz and world music composition on several modern and traditional instruments; the languages, cuisines and nuances of many cultures around the world-the list goes on and on and on...and, oh yes, he is a great storyteller! Following perhaps in the footsteps of his parents, Karriem has been appointed as a teacher at every school that he has ever attended. He began his teaching career while still a student at Roeper at age 15, and was later given teaching appointments in the sciences and mathematics at both Harvard (at age 19) and Stanford Universities. He has since taught, toured and worked in more than 32 countries, including leading ethnobotanical expeditions living and working with the shamans and traditional healers of the Amazon and Chocó rainforests of South America, and the dense jungles and vast savannahs of Africa. Now Karriem is one of the appointed teachers at the Ramtha School of Enlightenment, where he has been a student since 1992. |
