Here is a website that I go to for advice on cleaning and gardening. It's not my only site but I love the dollar saving aspect of it. http://www.getdollarsavvy.com/
Vinegar and salt make a good kitchen scrub.
I'm going to have to try this one. I think I should probably scrub my sink out again since slimy stuff is appearing in the drains. I haven't been because I ran out of my other scrub stuff.
We could always use e_golds liver. :D
He still has one?
Of course Lisa, it's got lots of holes and little calcified appendages. Great for scrubbing!
That's his heart. See the scars from the stiletto stomping on it?
awesome!
this would make a great front page link.
i LOVE vinegar. i also LOVE baking soda.
baking soda ROCKS for cleaning bathtubs and sinks.
i just put some on a damp scrubbie and it works wonderfully. if you get the baking soda too wet, it doesn't work.
I also found a great drain unclogger using baking soda. Pour 1 cup baking soda and 1 cup salt down the drain, then follow with a kettle full of boiling water. It worked like a charm for our drain that has been slow running since we moved in.
Aya Thank you so much
We have a tub drain that starts running slow every year or so, (think conditioner, shampoo, shower cleaner)and no BIG expulsion of water down the drain, all showers.
I did this yesterday and already there is a 50% improvement. I am going to do it again next week.
Usually this meant my husband and his brother taking a giant router machine and snaking through from the cleanout. = Giant mess.
Thank you, thank you.
LIVE and let live.
You are welcome. I found it on a dollar-saver website but I can't remember the name off hand. It had some really nice tips on it though.
