Many have posted musical videos all over Devon's beloved tribal gathering place, but they were scattered all over.
That we might enjoy a centralized location where we can sample some of the best, I invite you to post them here.

It's fairer to state sooner rather than later that as the originator of this thread I will exercise my own discretion and delete whatever displeases me for any or no reason. My tastes are broad and catholic so I expect I won't expunge much unless there is an epidemic of Death-Metal-Fuck-the-World-I-Hate-My-Parents crap showing up. Thanks to the Chief and thanks to Khomar for technical guidance, in particular for showing us how to compact these entries and "hot-key" the titles.

Another Long Day
This is one of the things that has kept me busy. I am actually playing at a coffee shop near my place tomorrow (Friday) evening. This is my latest song: Another Long Day.
Thank you for broaching this difficult subject, Khomar. My college age daughter has told me that there is a very high percentage of young women who are performing these types of services to help pay their way through college. I found an article that describes their circumstances very well...
Saddled with piles of student debt, coupled with a job-scarce economy, current college students and recent graduates are selling themselves to pursue a diploma or pay down their loans. An increasing number have taken to the web in search of online suitors or wealthy benefactors who, in exchange for sex, companionship, or both, might help with the bills.
The past few years have taken an especially brutal toll on the plans and expectations of 20-somethings. As unemployment rates have risen steadily higher, starting salaries have plummeted.
What is the explanation for the rising costs of a quality college education? The answer may surprise you. Excessive financial risk-taking has resulted in depleted portfolios everywhere. No longer independent, higher education has succumbed to the political pressures of regents and trustees who all too often are tied to banks and corporations. For an example of this inbred conservatism, consider a recent survey that showed the public favoring the use of federal stimulus money to keep tuition down, even if that meant leaving less money for operations.

I can't think of a better reason to support the students in the OWS movement, who are expressing frustration over the rising cost of tuition for a quality of education that isn't getting any better, many citing the rising amount of student loan debt in addition to a dearth of decent jobs for recent graduates. Unsurprisingly, the growing problem of these insurmountably higher fees stems back to corporatism - the fascist relationship between our too big to fail mega corporations and our oversized government.

Katherine, this is far more sinister than college kids trying to get an education. What this video is talking about is under-age slavery in which girls from 9-13 years of age are taken against their will and forced to sleep with up to 30 men per day. Think about this for a minute: the average age these girls are being forced into sex slavery is 13 years old. The average lifespan after entering prostitution (because of drugs, physical abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, etc.) is only seven years. This means that for most of these girls, they won't even live long enough to get a college education -- even the thought of any sort of education is bar beyond their miserable existence.
And this isn't even just a small group of people. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of children being beaten, drugged, and forced to endure unspeakable hardships. The fact is that those college girls have a choice. They choose to go into prostitution. I have two brother-in-laws and a sister-in-law who are currently going to college without any loans and little financial assistance from their parents or the government. How are they doing it? By going to community college for as many credits as possible, and taking their time by taking what they can afford given their current jobs. It can done. Again, it is a choice. These girls do not have a choice.
Now, it doesn't stop there. It goes much deeper and far more sinister than that because most of the pimps and "Johns" (those who pay for and engage in the prostitution) are left prosecuted in our country. Up until recently, the only guilty party in the eyes of the government were the young girls themselves! Pimps and Johns only got a slap on the hand if they received any punishment at all. In fact, it was the threat of being turned over to the police that kept these girls submitting to their tormentors in many cases.
Even now, with laws changing, the number of cases that are actually brought to trial are very, very few -- a few dozen cases in the face of hundred of thousands of victims every year. Why? Because often the congressmen, legislators, and even the police officers are either customers or are even directly involved in the trafficking itself. Sex trafficking is big money. It is currently the second largest criminal industry in the world at $32 billion annually. It is expected to soon become the largest industry (the current leader is illegal drugs).
But the scope of this problem is even greater than this because the sex culture has permeated our society. From the youngest age, children are raised (groomed) to be ready for the sex trade. Consider the young women who enter and leave the Disney machine, and the impact they have on young women. Meanwhile, pornography has become widely accepted, but no one wants to admit that it is directly fueling the demand for sex that leads pimps to abduct, trick, and/or force young girls to become prostitutes.
Further, it has ties to abortions. What to do with all of those illegitimate children? Why do you think the Republicans, despite their "pro-life" stance have done nothing to end abortion?
The world is far more sinister than you realize, and the stakes are far greater than the games of politics we play. Our eternal souls lie in the balance.
I support the efforts of Occupy Wall Street is so far as they support the rule of law (and it sounds like this is indeed their focus), but in many ways, it is still hacking at the limbs. The root has its place in the very gates of Hell.
Believe me, Khomar, I agree that the abduction, tricking and/or forcing of young girls to become prostitutes is horrible. But I have just one question for you: Where in the hell are their parents? Now, I'll answer my own question: Most of them are at work, trying to make ends meet in an economy that was designed to force the very lifestyle that you are describing! It was the plan of Satan, via his minions (the selfish, greedy elite), all along! The elite have forced us from a society and a lifestyle where, in most cases, only 1 paycheck was required to amply provide for a family, into a very different society and lifestyle, where both parents are forced to work, providing the elite with greater income while leaving these young girls on their own to become "latchkey" kids who are basicly raising themselves. This has been going on for so long now, that those latchkey kids are now going to college and/or saddled with insurmountable student debt and spiraling even further still into this preplanned evil chaos. These young girls you are concerned about are not separate from, but are connected to the twenty-something young women that I spoke of, through this evil plan. These same elite control the Disney machine you speak of, as well as almost all of our multi-media, and through them have provided more and more emphasis on promiscuity and sex, until our society has spiraled into such a debauchery of evil that there appears to be no way out. There is a way out, though, and you know as well as I do that these children can be saved through the grace of God with an education about the Power of God. But the education of the masses that OWS is helping to provide, about the corporate structures that support the powerful elite by tearing the rest of us down, is also important - because knowledge is power. That's all I was trying to say. That's why we must support them. They are part of the solution that will help to bring us back from the hell created by the selfishness and greed of the powerful elite.

The way that I see it there are two prongs to the attack. The first is well underway with OWS and the awareness campaigns of the Ron Paul movement, people like Karl Denninger, etc. But the most important starts right here -- in our own hearts. We need to face the darkness and sin in our own lives -- purge our lives of evil and fill our lives with right living -- and that only comes by the power of God.
I like the latest campaign by OWS to pull money out of the banks and put it into credit unions or at least local banks. That is an action we all can take that will have an impact. Protesting or writing letters may have an impact on the elite, but changing the way we live definitely will have an impact on our world. This is where the sex trafficking awareness comes in. It is a huge problem that most people do not even realize exists in our country, and it exposes that nasty underside of America that no one wants to admit. The elite control the media, but they cannot make us watch it. And we need to stop watching it. The less influence we let the elites have on our lives, the better.
And that is why I am getting involved in sex trafficking awareness and preaching to churches about sexual immorality in the church. Right now there are close to 50% of the men in the church engaged in pornography, and that is simply unconscionable. We cannot fight the evils of this world if there is that kind of evil in the church. We need a revival of our hearts by the power of God if the forces of darkness are to be confronted. Otherwise, the demise and judgement of our country (which is already in full swing) will be completed with destruction, death, and torment.
So I pray daily for OWS (I really do) that they would remain peaceful and focused, and that the light of truth would reveal any flaws in their thinking. And I seek to confront and revive the Church in America.
Thanks
for the good works you are doing, Khomar. I join you in prayer for OWS as well as for those who are caught in a trap of evil. May God's Kingdom come and His Will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven.

New song - His Hand
Hey guys,
I wanted to share a new song video I just posted that some of you might enjoy. This is actually one of my older songs that I have always wanted to record.
It is about having faith when the future is unclear. Seems fitting for what is happening these days.

Thanks Matthew :)

Thank you. :-)
You're very welcome.
I am slowly but surely learning that faith is something that must be born in the human heart. It must be nurtured, strengthened and practiced. It must be lived and experienced through life in order to become true and living. It must also be put to the test and be able to survive those moments when we as mere mortals can't see and can't understand. It is in these moments that faith should turn into trust in the care of the Creator who really loves His children without condition.
This is the 'true narrow path'. To achieve such faith is a slow and gradual process. However, once faith has reached the level of implicit trust in God, it becomes an eternal possession of the human being, part of his experience and a habit. Such was the faith of the Master, Jesus of Nazareth. Nobody said it would be easy, but oh, what a magnificent blessing, when finally the lesson becomes clear!

Prayer For Rain
I wanted to share my latest video with you all. It is a song entitled "Prayer For Rain". I pray it is an encouragement for any of you going through difficult times.
Prayer for Rain
Very well done, Matthew!
This is my favorite part:
A scorching sun on barren land.
You struggle with the truth and begin to understand,
that God can use these times of trial, to make a heart of gold.
So very true!
I also love the cinematography! Did you do that, too? Just beautiful!

Thank you, Khomar, for this reminder. I look forward to the time when you add a link so I can also see it! :)
The Apostle Paul, through many biblical passages, tells us not to be anxious about anything, but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds. When we sing, do so with thanksgiving. When we pray, do so with thanksgiving; in "whatever" we do - do it with thanksgiving.
Many will say that Paul is telling us what appropriate prayer looks like and he is telling us the correct way to pray, because to serve God apart from a thankful disposition is sin. What is not understood, though, is the reason why. What is sin? Sin is anything that separates us from God. A thankful disposition will bring us back, closer to God. We can also infer from Paul's instruction that to pray without thanksgiving is dishonouring to God. I believe that God already knows our hearts, and so what is closer to the truth, and something that could not be understood in Paul's day, is that the power of thankfulness works to bring added power to our prayers like a conductor works to create a magnetic field - to induce voltage. So when we pray, if we reflect on all our blessings and allow thankfuness to enter our hearts, and then give praise in the form of thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father when we pray, our prayers will be more powerful. So let's amp up the voltage when we pray, by praying with thankfulness for our many blessings!

Some very good thoughts, and another good reminder. Thank you. :-)
I have added a link. I'm sorry; I didn't realize you couldn't view embedded videos.
You are very welcome, Matthew. I always hope that my ramblings will help someone along their journey, in some small way.
I've been thinking some more about Paul. The more I think about it, the more I believe that surely Paul must have known that the power of thankfulness works to bring added power to our prayers - otherwise why did he repeat it so often? It is I who didn't know it, not Paul, and I am not alone. Somewhere along the way, we have forgotten the mystical aspect of our heritage - we have forgotten the Secret! The Secret explains the law that is governing all lives, and offers the knowledge of how to create - intentionally and effortlessly - a joyful life. I believe Paul knew that the power of thankfulness helps to bring our energy vibration higher, which aids in the manifestation of our fondest hopes and dreams.
The Secret helps our minds to remember what our souls knew all along - that we create our lives, with every thought - every minute of every day. I believe - no, I pray - that we, that humanity itself, is collectively ready to remember - and to evolve together to the next level in this grand game we call "Life".

By introducing the Secret, I am trying to show that as many people and personal perspectives there are is as many different spiritual insights which are possible. What resonates and feels true to one person or to one group may or may not feel authentic to others. Spirituality is a personal issue, for our varied life experiences and ensuing emotional states and patterns will often have an impact on what our perspectives will be. So naturally, what rings true in every heart will vary and we should not expect that the truth will resonate in the same way to everyone. Nevertheless, the truth remains the truth and is universal. The only difference will be found in the way it is expressed. So let's explore together the endless possibilities - for all paths truly lead to God. Let's take God out of the box we've put him into for so long, shall we? :)
