Cue the spooky music, because I'm about to tell you something that happened to me in 1986.

I was awoken from a deep sleep by a huge and thunderous voice, literally shouting at me. "The magnetic pull between Jupiter and Mars could polarize our electrical resistance." I was so shaken, I immediately got up and found a pen and paper and wrote it down. I still carry it folded up in my wallet to this day. I have no idea what it means. It has puzzled and bewildered me all these years. I've googled the phrase only to find items/articles associated with quantum physics, which is way over my skis. Any thoughts?

Dunno... if you were referring to quantum mechanics as a reference, then I'd go with quantum tunneling. If you wanted to get deep enough into that topic, it is a possible way to ~fold~ reality and move bewteen the layers... something that would be perfect for long-range space travel. A way to sling-shot between gravity wells, like suns, for instance.

It has been discussed that the possibility is there for instantaneous travel between solar systems.

By the same people that figured out that multiple world-planes are not only theoretical, they pretty much have to be real.
