 Missouri Apology ~NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Please understand the bigger picture! Many of you are missing the BIG picture here! The 'Fusion Center' in Missouri is just ONE of 70 nationwide( see map in link!) The document is just ONE document that happened to be leaked! They share databases nationally on federal and state levels! These centers have recieved funding from the DHS to the tune of $327 million dollars which trickles down to the state and local police, sherriff, state patrol and other agencies which like the idea of getting some of this funding! They need to justify thier funding,activities and purpose by demonizing groups as potential ' domestic terrorists' But the problem is the 'Fusion Centers' DHS, FBI, NSA etc..cannot serve two masters: it cannot both serve the Constitution and get into the domestic intelligence trenches. Political speech is supposed to be the MOST protected speech under the 1st ammendment! ACLU and EPIC have documented many cases and filed suits due to over-zealous intelligence gathering due to these fusion centers! In some states the DHS is fighting to have fusion centers exempt from 'Freedom Of Information Act' (FOIA) which, if successful, would then allow no oversight and no recourse for any group or individual to contest abuse! Under the 911 act the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, Loss of Habeus Corpus and the other hideous acts that Bush put in place ...they may well succeed! Fusion Centers are the product of the Department of Homeland Security.
What they did was sooooo wrong
What they wrote could quite possibly damage one's political career permanently. I'm sure the main news outlets got their copies of it and if Dr Paul runs again, they'll pester him with this report. Hopefully that's not the case and it'll pass, but I have my doubts after what they did to him in the 2008 debates.

I doubt that Ron Paul will run again as he will be quite old by the next election. Chuck Baldwin's campaign is probably the target, if your theory is accurate, as he is a likely successor to Ron Paul and has the backing of many Ron Paul supporters. Personally, I think it just showed their hand. The fact is that the Ron Paul movement is a threat to our current government, and they are trying to do what they can to slow down or thwart it. What they do not realize is that people are starting to wake up rapidly. In their rush to push through their agenda ahead of schedule, they are forcing changes on people who are not ready for them. I think things could end very badly for the powers-that-be.
I agree with the 1st post, this goes farther than Missouri.
Do you really think he'll run again? RP says he won't in the exact same way he said no to running 3rd party. AND he's as reluctant as he was after super tues. I will always support Dr Paul but I gotta tell you I won't put in the energy I did last time if that is the case.
