Occupy Wall Street!!

Katherine's picture

Occupy Wall Street is an all-out attack on the corporate capitalist agenda that is creating limitless, inordinate wealth for the very few while incrementally impoverishing everyone else.
It is about the power the banksters and the corporate executives wield in the Amerikkkan political system. And if it ever does come to Canada, it will be about the same dire problems.
It is about the growing gap between the super-rich and the rest.
It is about 22 percent real unemplopyment and underemployment; four million families turfed out of their homes by mortgage foreclosures; 51,000 manufacturing plants shut down across Amerikkka and the jobs transferred to low-wage, hassle-free Third World countries; 50 million Americans unable to afford health insurance; 46 million Americans dependent on food stamps and food banks to get through the month; crippling consumer debt; a collapsing public school system; two offical foreign wars and a handful of unofficial foreign quasi-wars. And it is about millionaires and billionaires paying a lower effective overall tax rate than the poorest of the working class, and the banks and corporations that they control enjoying record low taxes at a time of record high profits while the country goes to hell in a handbasket.
Finally, it is about whether Occupy Wall Street has actually lit that vital spark that will lead the American and Canadian masses the poor, the working class and the middle to unite as one regardless of race, colour, creed, ethnic or national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation or disability and rise up against the common enemy the criminal socioeconomic elite and their puppet political prostitutes.
That is the most important question!

Disgusted

Sorry... just have to throw out a little rant. I am thoroughly disgusted by people on Facebook who are posting pictures and messages that a denigrating the Occupy Wall Street protestors (usually by comparing them with soldiers) while all the while demonstrating a deep ignorance of the actual issues in question. I guess standing up for actual justice is now considered evil.

Katherine's picture

Yep, I get disgusted, too. There's a lot of that same thing going on over at DP. You'd think they would be more open to communication with OWS, and more willing to work together. Sometimes, being "right" or believing that you are, anyway, is more important to people than doing the right thing. What a terrible waste of a good occupation!
I don't think we'll ever be able to "take back the Tea Party". The Koch brothers and their ilk have gotten too much of a grip on it.
But we CAN work with the OWS movement. It is the biggest grass roots movement we've seen since the inception of the original Tea Party. Wouldn't it be a shame if we allowed this opportunity to slip away because it isn't a "perfect" manifestation of all our desires? We can only rise above the clutches of the Zionist PTB if we are willing to work together. A house divided cannot stand - that's what THEY are counting on!

Looks like Obama agrees with Ron Paul on this one. And Cantor (a well known Kochhead) proves by default that OWS is a movement of the people - much to the chagrin of the elitists...
Koch brothers and friends - you should be afraid! We are routing you out!

It is of great importance to learn from history. The 1960's peace movement was infiltrated by agent provocateurs, who posed as peaceful protesters, but were actually there to incite violence in order to influence and manipulate the public opinion of a growing movement that promoted peace and love.
It is at this point where the MSM becomes involved, magnifying the dissent wile minimalizing the core issues.
With the lone exception of some minor coverage by MSNBC, there has been relatively no coverage of one of the biggest news stories since 911 by the main stream media (MSM), which explains why viewership on all major TV networks has significantly dropped.  This also parallels the dramatic decline in newspaper subscriptions as more and more people are turning to alternative news websites for a subjective look into what is really going on in this world. The internet has played a large role of allowing people to be able to access information immediately versus waiting for the MSM to spin any given headline into propaganda.  As more people are awakening, they are beginning to see through the facade of the MSM, whose propaganda is solely used to influence public opinion [in order to enable corporate entities, like Koch Industries, to work towards privatizing public policy].

Occupy Wall Street and Collective Consciousness

There is a global awakening occurring which involves a shift in
consciousness on many levels as evidenced by the Occupy Wall Street movement, which has caught on globally as individuals are awakening to a global collective consciousness in unity against the tyranny and oppression of all governments and in particular, a banking system that has made us all economic slaves.
Global consciousness is an awakening of the human mind from an individualistic perspective to a global perspective.  In other words, the consciousness arises from our collective actions and works toward the common goal of what is in the best interests of humanity.
A growing trend in the Occupy Wall Street movement has been the addition of group meditation.
According to the Journal for Conflict resolution, it only takes the square root of 1% of the human population (approximately 9,000 of the 7
billion people on this planet) to change reality, the future and
current war scenarios.
In other words, the feeling and intent of the Occupy Wall Street
movement has magnified throughout the grid of global consciousness as is reflected through truth and the uniting of the global mindset. To phrase this differently, once the bottom of the pyramid unites, the
rest will collapse.
There are over 7 billion people on this planet who are being manipulated by a handful of people whose main concern is to control the population through economic slavery and eugenics.  This is no longer tolerable.  As more people awaken to the tyranny and oppression of all
governments, the Occupy Wall Street movement will only continue to expand to literally global proportions.
In the end the light always wins...

I believe that this movement is a manifestation of the people's fondest wishes. WE CREATED THIS - those of us who have held a vision in our hearts of a day that would come, when all men would be liberated from the shackles of the powerful elite. When we would be freed from the usury of their powerful banks, and more recently, freed from the unelected power of corporate fascism in our public policies. We collectively created this movement with our prayers, hopes and dreams. Power to the people!

Is there scientific evidence?

If more and more people are talking about collective consciousness, is there any scientific evidence to back it up? Yes, and that's important. Rigorous science helps us avoid the fuzzy thinking and unquestioned assumptions that too often characterize spiritual and New Age discussions. Moreover, science may ultimately introduce mainstream society to collective consciousness and demonstrate how it can benefit us all.
Over the past 12 years, this author, as well as many others, has studied a good deal of intriguing research about collective consciousness. It suggests that we influence each other in many subtle, yet powerful ways, and that our collective wisdom and creativity can be harnessed for the common good...

This is so awesome!!

7 Core Demands from the Occupy Wall Street Movement

2) Investigate Wall Street and Hold Senior Executives Accountable for the Destruction in Wealth that has Devastated Millions of People.

3) Return the Power of Coining Money to the U.S. Treasury and Return to Sound Money

They need to stay focused on what the real problems are and not let other issues cloud the heart of the protest. Karl Denninger had a good article on this:

Occupy Wall Street => "Bonus Army"?

Katherine's picture

Indeed.

WHERE IS THE TEA PARTY WITH DENNINGER'S SEVEN POINTS -- SEVEN POINTS THAT, PART OF THE EXISTING PROTEST AND AMPLIFIED, BACKED BY MILLIONS IN THE STREETS WHO PEACEFULLY PROTEST AND REFUSE TO STAND DOWN, WE CAN BRING TO THE FORE AND MAKE HAPPEN IN THE PRESENT TENSE?

Good question. And knowing that the Kochs' propaganda machine is running full force to show what a horrible premise this movement is sponsoring (we can already see it over at the DP, can we not?) , I will not be too quick to judge too harshly, a movement that I personally have been hoping for, for over 30 years. Rather, I am going to support this movement, this revolution, and pray for its success - because it brings me joy and hope. So, thanks for the words of caution, Khomar, but I won't be too quick to dismiss the importance of this movement or to accept anyone else's opinion on it.

I wasn't trying to dismiss the movement at all, but we can already see elements trying to distract or water it down. As long as they can stay true to the mission, I think this movement has good potential to shake things up. It is about time there was a real protest in this country, and by all accounts, it is starting to gain traction -- even among the cops, from what I am hearing. We might just see a large scale revolt within the ranks of police officers over the abuses being committed.

Interesting times, and definitely warranting prayer. May they stay peaceful, focused and undaunted.

BTW, if you have not read Denninger before, he is an excellent source for what is going on in the markets and the banking system in general. He is a good guy who is exposing a lot of the fraud that is taking place between our government and big business (particularly banking).

Then we agree!!

And so do they!!

Nader, Ron Paul, Kucinich Speak to Occupy Wall Street

Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, and Dennis Kucinich offer words of wisdom to the Occupy Wall Street movement. The Occupy Wall Street movement has tremendous potential, but only if we can resist the wedges that the corporate/government cabal continues to try to drive between us.

There are differences of philosophy between progressives and libertarians, but we CAN agree on at least four issues upon which we can make immediate and concrete demands. Success on these demands would go a very long way toward saving the United States and prevent us from falling deeper into serfdom and slavery.

We may never have a better chance than right now.

TRUE HEROES

They weren't carrying the banner of the Tea Party, the Gadsden flag with its coiled snake and the threat "Don't Tread on Me". Yet their message was clear: "We are the 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%."

This is the REAL Tea Party! This is NOT the Tea Party that has been so easily infiltrated by the dirty Koch brothers and their filthy money! This is the Real Deal. Finally, a 'Tea Party' with the same true grit of the original group, who in protest, dropped their tea into the sea and were not afraid of the consequences. THIS is the stuff that dreams are made of - and the stuff that makes those dreams come true! These are the TRUE HEROES of our day.
